BHU UG Admission Process

  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) The University has reserved 10 seats for the EWS category, following the directive of the Ministry of Education.

  • Persons with Disability (PWD) 5 of the seats are reserved on a horizontal basis for students from the PWD category.

BHU UG Eligibility:

Degree Name



passed 10+2 with a minimum score of 50%.

B.Com (Hons.)

Passed 10/2 with subjects in Commerce/ Economics, Computer Science, Math, or Financial Markets for executives or capitalists with a base 50 percent score.

B.Sc. (Ag)

passed 10+2 in Science stream with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics or Biology with a minimum of 50 percent marks.


Bachelor's Degree (any discipline ) with 50 percent marks 

Participation in inter-college/inter-school sports competitions


A Bachelor Degree in Phys.Ed with a minimum score of 45 percent marks 


A Bachelor's Degree with Physical Education as subject and a minimum 45 percent score

B. Sc. (Hons.)

Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50 percent marks

Shastri (Hons.)

Passed the Madhyama Exam for BHU or Uttar Madhyama or Upa Shastri or Intermediate.

BHU Postgraduate Admission

BHU offers postgraduate courses for graduates and candidates with equivalent degrees. The duration of each course depends upon the program. The entrance for postgraduate courses is PET conducted by the council for admission to PG courses. Candidates need a specific least score or specific qualification for each course as referenced by the college.

This M.Sc. in Botany and Zoology requires Chemistry as a subject at the graduate level.

MBA (Agribusiness)

A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Medicine, Technology, Education, or Law 


Masters degree with a minimum of 55 percent of marks

For SC/ST students, 45 percent of the marks are required.


Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum grade of 50 percent.

Mathematics should be one of the subjects at 10+2 or degree level.

BHU Ph.D. Admission and Hostel Fees
