Process of the Filling the Application Form in AMU School Admission 2020-2021

  1. The application Form is to be filled only in the ONLINE
  2. The candidates have to fill the Application Form directly on the website and make online payment.
  3. The Physically Challenged candidates having minimum 40% disability are exempted from the Processing Charges / Test Fee
  4. Each Candidate has to follow these steps in Online filling of Application Form

a) Register online and provide your correct and functional email because your username and password etc. will be sent on this email.

b) Every candidate will register separately and will get his/her username and password to access his/her Dashboard for filling & tracking the form.

c) Login using your username and password.

Follow these steps carefully for Amu school Admission given below 

After login, fill your Profile carefully and save it.

  1. In Profile, Candidate has to fill following entries:
    • Username
    • Email
    • Name of the Candidate
    • Alternate Email
    • Aadhaar No
    • Mother’s Name
    • Father’s Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Gender
    • Mobile No.
    • Alternate Mobile No.
    • Correspondence Address
    • Permanent Address
    • Nationality
    • Religion
    • Hostel Accommodation required
  2. By saving the Profile, the candidate will be asked to review and confirm that the particulars entered are correct.
  3. Thereafter, Candidate has to upload his/her Photo with white background, Signature & Thumb Impression (Left Thumb Impression for both Girls and Boys)
  4. The size of each image must be between 20 KB and 200 KB (in JPG/JPEG format).
  5. Candidate will ensure to keep 10 copies of the uploaded photo with him/her as the same will be needed at the time of admission.
  6. After uploading these images, save the profile again and proceed.
  7. Now Eligible candidate may select any applicable special category if he/she wishes to be considered for admission/nomination under that category.
  8. Select “NO” if the candidate does not belong to any Special Category.

After this, candidate has to upload the following documents:

It is to be ensured that all documents should be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format only and their individual size should lie between 200KB to 2MB.

  • Scanned copy of date of birth certificate of the candidate issued from Municipal Corporation / competent authority / school last attended / copy of Passport.
  • A Scanned copy of Marks-sheet / grade-sheet of qualifying examination, if applicable.
  • Also, Scanned copy of documents in support of claim under special category, if any.

Next step is for Applying Class and making Payments.

These steps include:

  1. Select the Class (I, VI or IX)
  2. Choose only one medium (English or Urdu)
  3. Tick the category under which the candidate is applying (General or Child of NRI/ Foreign National)
  4. Specify details of the qualifying examination passed by the candidate.
  5. Write year of passing/appearing the qualifying examination.
  6. Point out the details of the last School attended by the candidate. Mention the names of the Schools, in order of preference, in which the candidate is applying for admission
  7. It is to be noted that both components of this Step must be completed in one go.
  8. Fill up the choices of available schools (depending on the gender of the candidate, the medium of instruction and the applicable categories).
  9. Test fee/Processing charge is to be paid ONLINE only.
  10. Test Fee/processing charges are non-refundable.
  11. The candidate should keep ready his/her Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card details and follow the instructions available on the website to make payment.
  12. Online Application Form is submitted electronically the moment the candidate makes the payment of the processing charges and payment is successful.

Note: Candidates are advised to retain a printout of their filled-in form for future reference.

Rules for reservation for persons with disabilities in Aligarh Muslim university for entering in Amu school admission 2020-20221

    • 5% seats are reserved for Persons with Disability in various schools over and above the approved intake.
    • Such candidates shall be exempted from the payment of Test Fee / Processing Charges while applying for admission to Class I, VI or IX.

Instructions for OMR based test in Amu school admission 2020-2021

  1. Under Amu school admission, The OMR Answer Sheet has two kinds of spaces for making entries –
    • Squares are meant for writing alphabets and digits,
    • Circles are to be shaded completely and uniformly.
  2. Entries of candidate’s particulars on the OMR Answer Sheet
    • NAME OF THE CANDIDATE: Write your name in English as specified on the Admit Card
    • SIGNATURE: Put your signature.
    • ROLL NUMBER: Roll Number is printed on your Admit Card.
    • APPLICATION NUMBER: Application Number is printed on your Admit Card
    • CENTRE CODE: Centre Coder is the 3-digit numeric code printed on your Admit Card.
    • GENDER: Write ‘M’ for Male and ‘F’ for Female.
    • MEDIUM: Write ‘E’ for English and ‘U’ for Urdu
  3. Do not make any stray marks on the OMR Answer Sheet. Do not fold, tear, roll or mutilate your OMR Answer Sheet in any manner.
  4. OMR Answer Sheet consists of one Original and one Carbonless Duplicate Do not attempt to separate or displace them while answering.
  5. Each question is followed by four alternative answers. Select only one answer
  6. Selecting more than one answer for a question, even if one of the selected answers is correct, would result in its being treated as an incorrect answer.
  7. There shall be no negative marking in the evaluation

Documents Required At The Time Of Completion in Amu Admission 2020-2021

  1. Aadhar Card / Passport / PAN Card / Bank Passbook with photo ID / Student Photo identity Card issued by the School last attended of the candidate (with TWO Self attested photocopies)
  2. TEN (2.5 x 3.0 cms) recent front facing colour photographs (in white background).
  3. Documents in support of Special Categories claimed in Application Form.
  4. Birth Certificate issued under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act (with TWO Self attested photocopies – applicable for admission to Class I)
  5. Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended (with TWO Self attested photocopies – applicable for admission to Class VI & IX)
  6. Marks sheet / grade sheet of qualifying examination (with FOUR Self attested photocopies – applicable for admission to Class VI & IX)
  7. Aadhar Card / Passport / Voters ID / PAN Card / Driving License / Bank Passbook with photo ID/ Arms License/ Service Photo Identity Card issued by State/Central Government of both the parents (with TWO Self attested photocopies)

Qualifying Examination

         Passed Class VIII from a School which is registered and recognized by a competent government authority or is affiliated to an approved Public Examination Board.

Age Limit for Amu school admission 

       The candidates must be of the age between 13 to 15 years as on March 31of the year of admission.

Syllabus of Written Test Paper

       The Test paper syllabus shall be the same as prescribed for Class V by C.B.S.E. / N.C.E.R.T. and followed in University Schools.

       The Written Test shall comprise two sections as detailed below:

       Section-I: It shall be of 25 marks comprising 25 Objective type questions (MCQ) of one mark each on Languages (English, Urdu and Hindi)

       Section-II: It shall be of 60 marks comprising of 60 Objective type questions (MCQ) of one mark each with the following break-up:

    • Mathematics : 30 marks
    • Science : 30 marks

       Note: It is essential that the candidate obtains a minimum of 40% marks in Section-I in the written test to be eligible for interview/ admission.

       Processing Charge/ Test Fee

    • Without Late fee – Rs.550.00
    • Inclusive of Late Fee – Rs. 800.00

      AMU Admit Card 

    • Print from the website www.amucontrollerexams.com one week before the scheduled date of test.
    • The Test Centre shall be as indicated on the Admit Card.
